Steps to Follow for Walk-In Enrollment

	Call the English Language Institute at  (313) 317-1556/8/9 for information and directions.
	Report to Assessment Assessment Center in the Learning Resources Center (LRC) Monday - Thursday 8:00AM - 6:00PM Friday 8:00AM - 3:00PM
	Register for Classes There are four ways to register for classes at the English Language Institute. Online registration offers immediate confirmation of successful enrollment. a. Online Registration - Immediate...Easy...Secure (Takes less than 8 minutes) Click here to register online b. Fax Registration (313) 317- 1557 Faxes are accepted anytime, day or night. Class confirmations are mailed to you within one week after successful receipt of your fax. Click here to download a registration form. Who can use it: Anyone who has a current credit card (Discover, MasterCard, Visa) and access to a Fax machine.  To ensure enrollment in the course, include charge card information (including the expiration date) and sign the form. When: Anytime Your fax machine's transmission report is your confirmation of receipt . Henry Ford Community College will not confirm arrival of your fax. If you think your fax was interrupted, please write "refax" when you resend the form. If you do not receive your course confirmation within one week, please call (313) 317-1556 to confirm your enrollment. c. Mail-In Registration This method is the slowest. A Registration Statement/Receipt will be mailed to you within one week after we receive your payment and form at HFCC. Click here to download a registration form. Who can use it: Anyone who has a check, money order, or credit card (Discover, MasterCard, Visa) - Make check payable to: Henry Ford Community College.  To ensure enrollment in the course when paying by credit card,, include charge card information (including the expiration date) and sign the form. In-Person Registration It is helpful to bring a completed registration form when you come on campus to register. Who can use it: Anyone who has cash, credit card, money order, or check When: Any business day between 8:30 am – 6:00 pm Where: Assessment Center in the Learning Resource Building at Henry Ford Community College and ask to register for the ELI
	Take the ESL COMPASS Placement Test Your results will be announced upon completion of the test, and you will be advised how to register for classes. If you have any problems registering, please call 313 317- 556/8/9 for assistance.
	You must pay tuition at the Cashier's Office (lower level of the LRC building) before the designated deadline, or you will forfeit your position.
	Report for classes at ELI (located on the first floor of the Liberal Arts Building) as scheduled.
