Henry Ford Community College, through the JUMPSTART program, offers you the opportunity to earn money while you learn. You will mentor pre-school children, working to prepare them for success when they enter elementary school.
This program provides you with:
- a $1,000 award when you complete work
- pay of $7.15 an hour while you work
- extensive training in communication and working with youth
- a great addition for your resume
JUMPSTART is open to students eligible for College Work-Study funding. You will work at the HFCC Child Development Center or one of several Head Start locations nearby.
Your commitment to JUMPSTART is to work 300 hours between September 2007 and May 2008.
