The HFCC Men’s Basketball team is the oldest sport of the current athletic program. In 1958, the first Hawk basketball team took the floor. Hawk hoopsters have won regional titles in 1959, 1960, and 1976 and the state championships in 1959, 60, 75, 83, and 92. The Head Coach is Abe Mashhour, (313) 317-4007, and Assistant Coach is Dave Williams.
2008 Summer Basketball Camps
For boys and girls, age 6-17. The camps will be held the week of July 14-18, 2008. Click here for more information.
Conference games are all double-headers and follow the Women’s games. All Hawk home basketball games are played on the main campus. The Men’s Basketball season runs from October 1 – March 10. Students are admitted to games free with an HFCC ID card. Admission is $3.00 for adults without an HFCC ID card and children 8 and up.

After serving as an assistant
coach for six years, Abe Mashhour was appointed the head coach for
the 1999-2000 season.
As a former student-athlete
of Henry Ford, Abe was named to the Eastern Collegiate Conference
teams and was a Michigan All-Star selection for the 1992-1993 season.
A strict fundamentalist, Coach Mashhour's teams play with enthusiasm
and discipline.
Abe has a dual role with
the Dearborn Public Schools as he serves as a science teacher at
Stout Middle School.
