What Happens After I Fill Out the FAFSA?
After the form is sent to the Federal Government, an analysis of the information will be released to HFCC. HFCC's Financial Aid Office will send you an award letter listing the forms of aid and the amounts for which you are eligible. When you enroll in classes, you can charge tuition and fees up to the amount of your grant and loans.

Please note students who print their Award Letters online and are accepting Direct Loan funds must also complete an electronic Master Promissory Note at dlenote.ed.gov and Entrance Counseling at http://www.dl.ed.gov before their loan funding will be disbursed. Click here for more information.

Financial Aid Refund Check Information
Financial aid refund checks for the Fall 2008 semester will begin to be distributed on Friday, September 12, 2008. Keep checking here for Winter 2009 information. Only students who have no prior semester balances can expect to receive a check at that time. Students carrying a balance on their account from a prior semester should not expect to receive their check until sometime later in September/early-October. Use our online tool to check the status of your refund check.
